Pulcina is the coffee maker designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi, created in collaboration with illy’s research center to optimize coffee extraction. Its distinctive and innovative design blends sculptural form with refined functionality, offering a new approach to the coffee ritual.
Made of cast aluminium with a thermoplastic resin handle and knob, Pulcina stands out for its stepped profile, reminiscent of a small engine or a fantastical creature. Beyond aesthetics, its internal shape is designed to stop the brewing process at the right moment, avoiding over-extraction and ensuring a more aromatic coffee with no bitter aftertaste.
The V-shaped spout with a clean cut allows for drip-free pouring, and the ergonomic handle ensures a secure, comfortable grip. The 6-cup model is ideal for breakfast with friends or relaxing coffee breaks.
