The portable Tsumiki lamp is inspired by a traditional Japanese tabletop game, where three-dimensional forms are created by combining simple wooden blocks. This constructive philosophy is reflected in the project by Medum, who in 2024 created an object with strong personality and great versatility of use.
Tsumiki consists of three distinct volumes – the head, the stem, and the base – connected through an ingenious magnetic coupling technology. This refined solution allows numerous composition possibilities, making the lamp dynamic, transformable, and suitable for different contexts.
It is made of polyester-coated metal, while the cone and diffuser are in thermoplastic resin. The LED light source provides uniform and efficient illumination, adjustable via a capacitive touch dimmer. It can be used in different areas of the home or office, with or without the base, offering freedom of placement and flexibility.
The built-in rechargeable lithium battery allows remote use away from a power source, with an autonomy of 8/10 hours on a full charge. The lamp recharges via a USB-C cable and represents a practical and contemporary accessory, able to meet the needs of modern living.
