The Clivo cutlery set was born from in-depth research into kitchen utensils made of plant fibers, taking particular inspiration from traditional Japanese bamboo tools. The name, derived from the Latin clivus (slope, downward path), evokes the gesture of carving, where material is gradually removed until the desired shape is achieved.
The collection is the result of a design process that combined the skill of a model maker hand-sculpting prototypes with the vision of designer Patricia Urquiola, leading to refined pieces where every detail was studied with great care. The outcome is a cutlery set that merges functionality with light, natural aesthetics, evoking organic forms while ensuring strength and practicality for everyday use.
